According to a latest survey conducted in New Delhi, the use of condoms has gone down to a great extent. The survey says that young women in Delhi prefer pills to condoms.
Over the last three years, oral contraceptive pills have gained popularity, but the condoms are still being used by many. The survey shows that the demand for condoms declined from 1,23,77,000 in 2006-07 to to 94,76,000 in 2008-09.
The demand for oral pills have risen from 1,19,549 in 2006-07 to 1,81,412 in 2008-09, the survey revealed. The survey proved that there is a growing awareness among the young women about the use of contraceptives.
